“…Using this data, we tested for gender differences in creative problem‐solving at the subfacet level using independent samples t‐tests and at the factor level by regressing gender on a latent factor of creativity in a MIMIC model. As shown in Table , gender differences were found in the means of the subfacets of creative problem‐solving such that, on average, females appeared to generate higher quality creative solutions in all four samples, more original solutions in two of the four samples (viz., Robledo et al., and Peterson et al., ), and more elegant solutions in two of the four samples (specifically, Hester et al., and Peterson et al., ). When examined at the factor level (Table ), gender differences were found in two of the four samples (i.e., Barrett et al., and Robledo et al., ).…”

“…Four samples, each containing baseline assessments of creative problem‐solving, were gathered from four recent studies of creative performance (Barrett et al., ; Hester et al., ; Peterson et al., ; Robledo et al., ). All four studies used an identical approach to the measurement of creativity and used similar tasks of creative performance.…”

“…These findings indicate that children with high levels of cognitive ability benefited more from educational opportunities via increased attainment and/or deeper educational engagement. Whilst in education students may have refined the higher-order thinking skills needed for effective leadership such as causal analysis (Hester et al, 2012) and forecasting (Shipman, Byrne, & Mumford, 2010), essentially becoming more successful problem-solvers and more creative thinkers (e.g. Vincent, Decker, & Mumford, 2002;Zaccaro, Mumford, Connelly, Marks, & Gilbert, 2000).…”

“…Если говорить о реализации креативного потенциала, то исследователи полагают, что если создать для этого определенные условия, то человек его обязательно реализует (Caroff, Lubart, 2012;Hester et al, 2012). Как показы вают исследования, такие негативные для креативности факторы, как угроза, давление, ограничения времени, страх смерти и состояние ностальгии, в неко торых случаях могут оказывать позитивное влияние на креативность (Мешкова, 2015).…”
