This chapter assesses the significance of digital technologies on tourist arrivals in Australia, France, India, Italy, Japan and Saudi Arabia during 2009 – 2020. It developed a linear regression equation to observe role of digital technologies in tourism sector. The results based on Panel FGLS model infer that broadband subscription, use of internet, IT investment and mobile phone subscription showed a significant impact on tourist arrivals. Digital technologies like broadband subscription, internet access, internet expenditure and mobile subscription are essential to promote tourism sector. It suggests policy implications to increase digital technologies for further development of the tourism industries. Digital technologies are also positive to increase smart tourism, and sustainable development in these countries. Smart tourism is favourable for achieving SDGs in the mentioned countries. Scope of further research directions in the area of digital technologies and tourism industries are also identified in this chapter.
