Abstract:Investigations in immunomodulating therapies for cancer treatment over the past 20 years have flourished. Given the complex tumor microenvironment and differential signaling pathways a wide variety of potential targeting mechanisms have come to attention. Herein we review the immunomodulating potential of Chemokine 21 in pre-clinical and clinical studies, as well as examine the novel multi-faceted immune-based treatments in advanced head and neck cancer.
