Abstract:Myocardin-related transcription factors (MRTFs) are coactivators of serum response factor (SRF), and thereby regulate cytoskeletal gene expression in response to actin dynamics. MRTFs have also been implicated in heat shock protein (hsp) transcription in fly ovaries, but the mechanisms remain unclear.
