CD3+CD294+T cells of the type 2 immune response: their role in allergic inflammation

Abstract: T lymphocytes type 2 immune response protect against helminths and toxins, and also contribute to the development of allergic inflammation. One of the most specific T cell surface markers T lymphocytes 2 is the CRTH2 molecule (CD294), which is an activating receptor for prostaglandin D2. The CD3+CD294+ population is negligible in the peripheral blood of healthy individuals; an increase occurs in patients with allergic diseases and an autoimmune nature of the response. The aim of the study was to study the quan… Show more

“…It is known that lymphocytes of the 2 nd type of immune response with the CD3 + CD294 + phenotype are effector memory T cells [1]. An increase in the relative number of this cell population above the upper limit of the reference interval (0.5-1.5%) was observed in 13 examined individuals (16.5%).…”

“…T lymphocytes of the 2 nd type of immune response contribute to the development, maintenance, and exacerbation of inflammation, mainly allergic, with the participation of several mechanisms. This cell population is involved in prolonging immediate and delayed types of inflammation, as well as eosinophilic and neutrophilic [1]. An increase in type 2 T lymphocytes in the peripheral blood has been described in patients with allergic [9] and autoimmune diseases [13].…”

“…Параллельно с оценкой сенсибилизации к аллергенам в тесте активации базофилов оценивали Т-лимфоциты 2-го типа иммунного ответа, которые являются одними из центральных клеток, поддерживающих аллергическое воспаление немедленного и замедленного типов, а также эозинофильное и нейтрофильное воспаление [18]. В обследованной группе этот показатель составил 1,5±1,0% и находился на верхней границе референтного интервала (0,3-1,5%).…”
