Abstract:Cephalosporins are frequently used to treat pediatric infections and are overall well tolerated. Cefepime, a fourth-generation cephalosporin, has an excellent safety profile in pediatrics. We report a rare case of cefepime-induced acute liver injury in a pediatric patient, which resolved after antibiotic discontinuation.
