Stalk rot disease of maize caused by Fusarium verticillioides is a major problem in increasing maize productivity. The pathogen can be transmitted through seed and soil. Control of the disease through seed treatment with biological control an effective control to control the disease. This research aimed to study effectiveness B. subtilis formulation collected by Indonesian Cereal Research Institute (ICERI) to the stalk rot in green house. The experiment was conducted on April to December 2017 which consist two level. The first, in vitro antagonism test of the B. subtilis to F. verticilloides growth was conducted in ICERI Plant Pathology with dual culture method. The trial was arranged in Complete Random Design (CRD) with 3 replications. The second, efficacy of the B. subtilis formulation to stalk rot disease on corn was conducted in ICERI green house. The trial was arranged in a CRD, 10 seed treatment with 8 B. subtilis formulations namely TLB1, BS-BJ6, BS-M3, BS-TM4, BS-BNt4, BS-BNt5, BS-BNt6, BS-BNt8, synthetic fungicide and control, 3 replications. Maize variety Anoman was used an the test plant. Observed variabel were percentage inhibition of the growth of F. verticillioides miselia, level of the Fusarium stalk rot disease transmission, and plant growth. The results showed that formulation of B. subtilis BNt4 performed the best amount 24,6% to inhibited growth of the F. verticillioides in vitro. Seed treatment with formulation of B. subtilis BNt4 and BS TM3 can suppress stalk rot attack in green house with the percentage disease were 20,9% and 25,9%. The all of B. subtilis formulations can stimulate plant growth.
