The possibility of cementing liquid wastes with different compositions by a unified method is examined. Methods of cementing are studied in order to determine the similarity of the parameters for preparing the cement solution under the conditions of reliable (accident free) execution of the technological process. The possibility of using a unified composition for the cement mixture and the type of equipment that permits the maximum incorporation of different wastes in the final product meeting the regulations is determined.Liquid wastes must be reprocessed. Reprocessing consists in concentrating the radionuclides, solidification, and conditioning. Conditioning is the totality of the operations whose final aim is to transfer the radioactive wastes into a form that permits safe shipment and (or) storage. Low-and medium-level liquid wastes are usually solidified by reprocessing, cementing, bituminization, and evaporation to a salt melt. They are almost all oriented toward reprocessing liquid salt wastes with a typical composition which are formed in substantial quantities at enterprises. Smaller quantities of pulps of ionexchange materials accumulate over many years at enterprises without any reprocessing; these pulps are a mixture of different ion-exchange resins and other filtering materials, residues in tanks used for storing liquid wastes and mud from reservoirs, mixtures of oils with organic liquids, salt concentrates and surfactants. For example, wastes are shipped to the Moscow Scientific and Industrial Association Radon (MosNPO Radon) from research centers; these wastes consist of water salt concentrates, containing a large quantity of surfactants and residues, mixtures of oils, organic solvents, and extracting agents, often with salt wastes. Reprocessing and conditioning of such mixed wastes are technically difficult problems, whose solution permits combined cementing of these wastes with typical liquid salt wastes. The cementing methods differ by the composition of the cement mixtures and by the method used to prepare the cement compounds. The composition of the cement compounds for conditioning liquid wastes depends on their form. A cement compound is to be prepared directly in the container and mixers. Preparation in a container can be done either by rotating a hermetic container or by using mixers; preparation in a mixer can be done in a portion and continuous regime, which determines the structure features of a mixer. The present article examines the possibility of cementing liquid wastes with different composition by a unified method. Unification is taken to mean rational reduction of the variants of the composition of cement compounds, the method used to prepare the cement compounds by reducing to a unified form on the basis of the similarity of the technological indicators, the properties of the cement compositions, and the functional purpose and particulars of the equipment. For this, methods of cementing different forms of liquid wastes were studied in order to determine the similarity of the prepara...
