Documents are at risk of damage from insects, damp, mold, fire, earthquake, and other environmental threats; in some cases, humans have been the source of destruction when there are attacks on archives for political reasons (e.g., Sathaye, 2006). Considerable heritage preservation can be accomplished at low cost through digital photography; archives, museums, and private collectors should sincerely seek out the means to make a comprehensive digital record of their collections in order to preserve them for future generations.…”
