Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's Qin‐Qio Targeted Response Intervention Associated with Reductions in COVID‐19 Incidence in Nursing Homes

Abstract: Research Objective In 2020 COVID‐19 became the leading cause of death in the United States,[1] with nursing home (NH) residents accounting for approximately 40% of all COVID‐19 deaths.[2] To help NHs combat COVID‐19, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) directed targeted response (TR) interventions through its twelve Quality Improvement Network – Quality Improvement Organization (QIN‐QIOs) contractors.
