“…The solids were acidified with concentrated hydrochloric acid; the obtained off-white solids were filtered, washed with water and dried in a vacuum oven overnight. The desired acid was obtained in 50% yield, mp: 210-212°C (Lit 209-210°C); 1 General procedure for the synthesis of quinoxaline-2-carboxamides(4a-p and 5a-5d)…”

“…Antagonists of this 5‐HT 3 receptor displayed anti‐emetic action in cancer chemo‐/radiotherapy induced nausea and vomiting. Nausea and vomiting are the most common adverse effects of the existing chemotherapeutic agents and these side‐effects occur in a substantial number of patients who are undergoing surgery or radiation therapy 5–8. The clinically existing 5‐HT 3 receptor antagonists substantially increase the patient compliance for anti‐cancer treatment 7 by decreasing their side‐effects (nausea and vomiting), but unfortunately these antagonists are ineffective in 10–30% of patients 9, 10.…”

“…About 14% of the global burden of disease has been attributed to mental disorders [4] . Although synthetic drugs are easily available in market for the treatment of mental disorders but these drugs are associated with severe side effects such as memory impairment, addiction and dependence [5] , sexual dysfunction [6] , headaches, dizziness and abnormal vision [7] . Researchers are exploring natural resources to find out newer, efficacious and safer drugs.…”
