“…Previously, a tilting table that could be mounted on an existing geotechnical centrifuge platform was developed by Izawa et al 37 and Nakamoto et al 38 which was used in a number of centrifuge experiments conducted on embankments and retaining wall systems. Sano et al 39 conducted geotechnical centrifuge tilting table experiments to determine the seismic resistance of a dry masonry retaining wall retrofitted with vertical reinforcement.
