Cerium‐Doped Nickel Sulfide Nanospheres as Efficient Catalysts for Overall Water Splitting

Dongxv Li,
Hui Guo,
Hong Wang
et al.

Abstract: The development of non‐precious metal electrocatalysts with excellent activity and durability for electrochemical water splitting has always been a goal. Transition metal sulfides are attractive electrocatalysts for both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). In this article, we designed and constructed efficient catalysts with multiple synergistic interactions and synthesized Ce‐NiS2@NF nanosphere using a solvothermal method. Ce‐NiS2@NF exhibits excellent HER performance, OER p… Show more

“…This material exhibited exceptional electrocatalytic performance for OER, achieving an overpotential of 283 mV at 10 mA cm −2 . 27 Considering the aforementioned factors, our study focuses on synthesizing ZIF-67-supported NiCo 2 S 4 and ZIF-67-derived Co–N–C supported NiCo 2 S 4 on NF, denoted as NF@ZIF-67@NiCo 2 S 4 and NF@Co–N–C@NiCo 2 S 4 , respectively. We aim to investigate their potential for catalyzing the OER, HER, and overall water-splitting (OWS) processes.…”
