Cervical ectopic pregnancy: results of conservative treatment.

Abstract: When cervical ectopic pregnancy is diagnosed early, US-guided termination or other conservative procedures allow preservation of the uterus, thus maintaining potential fertility.

“…A heterotopic cervical pregnancy with an intrauterine gestation is the rarest form of ectopic pregnancy following in vitro fertilisation and embryo transfer. Only a few case reports have been published in the literature regarding the early diagnosis of heterotopic cervical pregnancy and possible methods to preserve the intrauterine pregnancy 3 . We report the first case of heterotopic cervical pregnancy and intrauterine twin gestation that was diagnosed by transvaginal colour Doppler as early as five weeks of gestation, and a new surgical technique to terminate the cervical pregnancy.…”
