Primary carcinoma of the gastrointestinal tract rarely
presents with osseous metastases. The lumbar and thoracic
spines are the most commonly reported sites of
metastases. Cervical metastasis is rarely reported, but,
when it occurs, is a late manifestation of the disease. We
present a patient with an unusual case of colorectal cancer
and cervical spine metastasis, who presented initially
with neck pain. A vigilant approach to treatment is warranted
to reduce the risk of neurological sequelae and to
improve quality of life.
