Abstract:Isosteric replacement of functional groups is an emerging strategy for optimizing bioactive molecules in drug discovery. tert-Butyl group is a particularly important moiety, yet its isosteric replacement with 1trifluoromethyl-cyclobutyl group has been rather neglected.
