In most cases, the Basset force is much smaller than the other interphase drag forces [21], and the published simulations of two-phase flows in stirred tanks have seldom considered its effect [15,22,23]. The effects of other forces in immiscible liquid-liquid systems were examined by Wang and Mao [15], and they found that the influence of the added mass and lift forces on the model predictions were of less significance, suggesting that the drag force was the dominant one.…”
