Abstract:Amyloidosis is the condition when starch-like misfolded proteins form insoluble fibrils that deposit in tissues and cause dysfunction. Cardiac amyloidosis occurs due to the deposition of amyloid fibrils at the cardiac level and is an important cause of heart failure.
