Abstract

Mental health is an integral component strongly linked with physical health. It`s impossible to anticipate good physical health physique without considering the significance of mental health. Though advancements of computing technology and artificial intelligence (AI) have immensely contributed to the healthcare spectrum, their applications are mainly centric only towards physical ailment diagnostics and treatments. This chapter investigates the bottlenecks hindering the limited and primitive usage of AI techniques in psychotherapy procedures. Additionally, this chapter contributes by proposing eligible AI techniques and pipelines to overcome the issue of inadequate utilization of the AI advancements to the benefit of the psychotherapeutic domain. This promotes the ethical and responsible usage of technological advancements for the upliftment of the quality of life of human beings.
