The purpose of this study is to explore stakeholder power in corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSER) disclosure in Malaysia. We collected data through content analysis and semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was used to identify the disclosure level of CSER in the annual reports by listed companies in Malaysia. Then, semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect opinions from stakeholders to understand the CSER phenomenon, particularly the motivations of CSER in Malaysia. This study utilises the 'stakeholder theory' because this theory is based on the moral treatment of stakeholders and has been widely used by accounting researchers in CSER sustainability studies. The interviews provide evidence that stakeholders, particularly government and non-government organisations, show their concern on the importance of social and environmental disclosures. This concern may be one of the driving factors that influence companies to reveal a large amount of CSER information related to the society and environmental aspects. This finding indicates that present secondary stakeholders play a crucial part in compelling organisations to disclose CSER information.

This article presents an innovative tripartite approach for conducting safe and ethical 'sensitive inquiry' in the field of mental health recovery. The tripartite approach brings together the principles of recovery with trauma-informed practice and collective impact strategies. Together, these provide a framework for embedding and embodying recovery principles in research design and practice that empowers participants and 'takes care' of participants and researchers. The approach was effectively deployed in a 1year qualitative arts-based study conducted with people living with severe and persistent mental illness. Its success was evident in the high retention rate of participants, despite their ongoing vulnerabilities, and in the elicitation of findings that expand current understandings of mental health recovery from the point of view of people with lived experience. In this article, we discuss the tripartite approach, how this was applied in the study, and what the design achieved in research outcomes and participant experience.

ILUNION Accesibilidad, Estudios y Proyectos ResumenEste artículo presenta una descripción práctica de las cuestiones y procedimientos necesarios para la involucración de personas con discapacidad en proyectos tecnológicos de I+D+i. Se parte de la justificación de esta necesidad, fundamentada en nuevos paradigmas como la investigación inclusiva o emancipatoria. Se realiza un repaso de aspectos prácticos que afectan a las fases y actividades en las que la participación de personas con discapacidad es pertinente (ideación y planificación, recogida de requisitos, diseño y desarrollo y experiencia piloto y validación). Asimismo, se utilizan datos y resultados de un proyecto concreto de I+D+i (APSIS4all) para ilustrar los procedimientos a realizar en cada una de las fases. En conjunto, el artículo sugiere que la participación de personas con discapacidad en un proyecto de estas características no es solo posible sino también deseable. AbstractThis paper presents a practical description of the issues and procedures required for the involvement of disabled people in R&D&i technological projects. It justifies this need, based on new paradigms as inclusive or emancipatory research. A review of practical issues that affect the phases and activities in which the participation of people with disabilities is relevant (ideation and planning, requirements gathering, design and development and pilot and validation) is performed. Also, data and results of a particular R&D&i project (APSIS4all) are used to illustrate the procedures to be performed in each of the named phases. Overall, the article suggests that the participation of people with disabilities in a project like this is not only possible but also desirable.
