“…Bone parameters of the pelvis included the distance between the anterior superior iliac spines (dASIS) (Okano et al, 2014), the distance between the posterior superior iliac spines (dPSIS) (Banno et al, 2017), intercrestal diameter (IC) (Fan et al, 2022), anteroposterior diameter of the pelvic inlet (API) (Huang et al, 2021), anteroposterior diameter of the midplane (APM) (Huang et al, 2021), IS (Huang et al, 2021), subpubic angle (SPA) (Rizzo et al, 2021), sagittal outlet (SO) (Hampel et al, 2018), and intertuberous distance (IT) (Huang et al, 2021). Bone parameters of the hip included ischial angel (IA) (Ten et al, 2022), neck shaft angle (NSA) (Gigi et al, 2021; Hu et al, 2018), femur neck angle (FNA) (Gomez‐Hoyos et al, 2016; Ten et al, 2022), lesser trochanteric angle (LTA) (Gomez‐Hoyos et al, 2016), femoral neck axis length (FNAL) (Hu et al, 2018), and IFS. All DICOM MRI images were imported into Mimics 14.11 (Materialise, Leuven, Belgium) for the reconstruction of 3D anatomic skeletal models.…”

“…Chowdhury et al compared the results of distal and proximal tibial osteotomies for lengthening of the tibia in children and found no significant differences in the external fixation index 37 . In another study, the osteotomy level coefficient, defined as the distance between the tip of the greater trochanter and the osteotomy level divided by the length of the femur, was used to evaluate the effect of the osteotomy level on the femoral neck-shaft angle following antegrade intramedullary lengthening 38 . The authors determined that, although the level of osteotomy did not influence the postoperative femoral neck-shaft angle, a trochanteric entry point had a significantly increased tendency to a reduction in the neck-shaft angle compared with a piriformis entry point.…”
