In river mouths and coastal areas, sediment carried by water flows often clogs the estuaries and causes silting lagoons, impacting the prevalence of coral disease. Ten sediment traps were installed in the river 25 cm from the bottom to record the data for 21 days in Kawal River. Oceanographic and current flow data were collected using CTD and a Current meter using the Eulerian method with a depth interval installation of 0.25 to 0.75 from the river surface. The Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) is a method to analyze the condition of coral reefs and coral disease. CTD the temperature data ranged from 30.471 ± 0.001 °C to 31,609. ±0.001°C, salinity value ranges from 29.643 ± 0.001 PSU to 32.336 ± 0.001 PSU and current flow ranged from 0.063 ± 0.010 m/s to 0.281 ± 0.012 m/s. The results of the sediment trap, the dry weight value of sediment deposited in the sediment traps ranges from 0.89 grams, and for the largest of 48.45 grams, the turbidity ranged from 0.77 NTU to 4.22 NTU. The prevalence of coral disease was 56.40%. The conclusion indicates that excessive sedimentation rates at river mouths can result in a high incidence of coral disease.

The Klagison River is one of the rivers in Sorong City, West Papua. Surface mining activities occur in the Klagison River drainage area which is one of the causes of changes in the geomorphological conditions of the Klagison River. to identify the constituent elements of the Klagison River sediment using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). Determination of sampling points using the purposive sampling method and sediment collection tools using the Ekman grab. The method for analyzing sediment constituent elements uses the XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) method. Based on the research results, there are various types of elements contained in the Klagison River sediment, namely the elements Al, Si, P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Rb, Sr, Zr and Re. The dominant metal element concentrations from the 5 observation stations are the elements Fe>Si>Cl>Al>Ca>Ti. At observation station 5, the elements Fe>Si>Cl>Al>Ca>Ti are highest compared to the other 4 observation stations, this is because station 5 is the estuary of the Klagison River so it is the last place where liquid waste settles

The properties of sponge iron produced from iron sand and its alloys from the Manggamat Simpang Dua region in South Aceh are discussed in this research. Sponge iron is produced in pellet form by combining 75 percent iron sand (Fe), 20 percent carbon (C), and 5 percent bentonite adhesive. Pellet manufacturing consists of five press variants, namely 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90 kg/cm 2 , which are reduced by acetylene gas at a burning temperature of 1200°C with a holding period of 45 minutes. The reduced to spongy pellets exhibited a dominating hematite (Fe2O3) phase fraction pattern of 59.8 percent and a magnetite phase (Fe3O4) of 40.2 percent, with a weight percentage of Fe of 66.57 percent and C of 2.30 percent. The greatest sponge iron material hardness results on average at 287.35 HV at a pressure of 70 kg/cm 2 with a void size of 0.4 mm, showing the optimal compressive value (compaction) on iron sand pellets. It may be inferred that iron sand collected from the South Aceh region can be used as an alternate raw material in the steel manufacturing process.
