Abstract:Low-temperature electron-impurity scattering times have been measured in ntype InSb samples with different electron densities from Faraday rotation by using a pulsed 0.337 mm HCN laser. The electron-impurity scattering times obtained from the experimental results using a curve-fitting method yielded values of 3 to 4 X S at liquid helium temperatures for three different samples. These scattering times were in sharp contrast to the field dependent DC scattering times calculated from DC mobility measurements at 4… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
