Abstract:Objectives: Anti-melanoma differentiation associated gene 5 antibody (anti-MDA5 Ab)-positive dermatomyositis (DM) is representative of rapidly progressive interstitial pneumonia. However, its association with thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA), characterized by thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia, and organ dysfunction, has not been defined. This study aimed to elucidate the characteristics of anti-MDA5 Ab-positive DM accompanied by TMA.
