Abstract:Exogenously administered glucagon causes a decrease of plasma gastrin concentration, but the mechanism has not been fully elucidated. We measured antral gastrin concentrations and plasma gastrin levels before and during glucagon infusion in nine patients free of gastrointestinal diseases.
