Characteristics of Magnetic Reconnection With a Finite X‐Line Length

Abstract: The characteristics of magnetic reconnection with a finite x‐line length are studied using three‐dimensional (3D) particle‐in‐cell (PIC) simulations. We simulate two cases: anti‐parallel reconnection and guide field reconnection.
