Abstract:Field experiments were conducted during the 2007 to 2008 winter wheat-growing season to investigate the influence of enhanced UV-B radiation on diurnal variations in soil CO 2 fluxes and nitrous oxide (N 2 O) emissions from a winter wheat ecosystem. CO 2 and N 2 O fluxes were measured by static opaque chamber-gas chromatograph technique. Results showed that on sunny days, soil CO 2 fluxes and N 2 O emissions from the soil-wheat system exhibited obvious diurnal variation patterns, which enhanced UV-B radiation.… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
