Abstract:The influence of thermal shielding on the bremsstrahlung cross section and the Gaunt factor is investigated for the transition bremsstrahlung process, using the effective Debye–Hückel potential in the impact-parameter analysis. The results show that thermal shielding suppresses the bremsstrahlung radiation cross section.
