Abstract: Background Staphylococcus hyicus causes porcine exudative epidermitis, predominantly affecting suckling and weaned piglets. This bacterium produces various exfoliative toxins (ExhA, ExhB, ExhC, ExhD, SHETA, and SHETB), which are responsible for the clinical manifestations of exudative epidermitis.
