Characterization of a Mangrove Soil in the Graciosa River Estuary, in Bahia, Brazil: Highlighting Heavy Metals and Microbial Populations

Abstract: Mangrove soils have unique properties, able to transform and sequester chemical compounds of biogeochemical and ecological importance, including heavy metals. The degeneration of mangrove soils shows the risk of releasing these metals to the environment.
