Abstract:We report the stoichiometric and catalytic reactivity of organobismuth(I) complexes with organic azides. Treatment of N,C,N‐pincer bismuthinidenes with organic azides (acyl, sulfonyl, and bulky aryl) results in isolable monomeric iminobismuthanes which can be structurally characterized—including the formal Bi=N double bond—by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Building upon the stoichiometric reactivity of the monomeric iminobismuthanes, catalytic reduction of a broad range of … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
