Abstract:Marine heat waves (MHWs) can potentially alter ocean ecosystems with far-reaching ecological and socio-economic consequences. In this study, we characterize the MHWs in the eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean with a focus on the Gulf of Guinea (GG).
