“…The location of mangroves on the edge of the capital area causes a lot of garbage carried by rivers and seawater to accumulate and get trapped between mangrove roots, especially plastic waste that is difficult to degrade (Martin et al 2019). In the Angke Kapuk area, a lot of plastic waste was found piled up among the mangrove roots, especially on the soil surface, which was about 28.09 particles/kg dry sediment for the microplastic waste category and 20 -533 items/m 2 with a weight of 108.7 -5449.7 g/m 2 for macro size plastic waste category (Cordova et al 2021;Hastuti et al 2014).
