“…Our sero-prevalence data show that the overall seropositivity rate for GETV in racehorses was moderately low (12.4%); in addition, the regional sero-prevalence against GETV ranged from 22.3% It is known that A. vexans nipponii, which transmits both GETV and Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), is distributed widely in Korea; it was first found in Gyeongnam province during the early summer season (27,28). According to a recently paper, Aedes vexans nipponii collected in June 2010 was positive for GETV (10).
