Characterization of the complete plastid genome of Cardiocrinum cathayanum, an endemic medicinal plant in China

Abstract: The complete chloroplast genome from Cardiocrinum cathayanum (Liliaceae), an important herbaceous perennial species of the Liliaceae, is determined in this study. We characterized its whole plastid genome sequence using the Illumina sequencing platform. The whole plastid genome of C. cathayanum was a typical quadripartite circular molecule with 152,502 bp in length, comprised of a large single copy region of 82,517 bp, a small single copy region of 17,311 bp, and two inverted repeat regions of 26,337 bp. A tot… Show more

“…The plastid genome was annotated by GENEIOUS R8 (Fan et al 2016) and manually adjusted by comparing with the plastid genome homologous gene of MK817503. Finally, the annotated plastid genome of G. sinensis was submitted to GenBank (accession number: MT483984) and the ring genome was mapped using OGDRAW program (Wang et al 2019;Gao et al 2020).…”

“…Annotation of the cp genome with GENEIOUS R8 (Fan et al 2016) was manually adjusted by comparison with homolo-gous genes of F. suspensa cp genome (NC_036367.1). Finally, the annotated cp genome of F. mira was submitted to GenBank (accession number: MN560167) and the circular genome maps were drawn using OGDRAW (Liu et al 2018;Wang et al 2019).…”
