Abstract:Summary
Characterization of wormhole growth and propagation dynamics has been made possible with the semi-analytical models developed in this work by integrating both rate transient analysis (RTA) and a pressure-gradient-based (PGB) sand failure criterion in the presence of foamy oil behavior. The nonlinearity caused by the foamy oil properties is linearized using pseudofunctions, while the source function and finite difference methods are applied to obtain the solutions for the linearized model… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
