Charmonium spectroscopy

Abstract: In this paper we review the status of charmonium spectroscopy. After a description of the experimental techniques used for the study of charmonium, we review the present knowledge of the cc spectrum below and above the open charm threshold. We discuss recent developments and future opportunities.
