Chemical Biology of Sterols, Triterpenoids and Other Natural Products

Abstract

Wenxu Zhou studies sterol metabolism and regulations of a variety of organisms including higher plants, marine algae, pathogenic fungi, parasitic protozoa, and animals. His research focuses on identifying the unique niches of sterol metabolism among different organisms and utilizing them for new chemotherapeutic targets and new strategies for plant pest control. He has extensive experience in natural product chemistry, chromatography technologies, GC/MS base metabolomics,
