Chemical Characterization of Polyphenols Extracted From Different Honeys

Abstract: Abstract. The chemical composition of honey varies according to the quality of the harvested nectar. The aim of the study was to determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of honey from different regions in Algeria. A qualitative and quantitative analysis was carried out on honey polyphenol extract with the characterization of the majors groups and the determination of the amount of total polyphenols. The results indicate that the honey polyphenol extracts have different rates of phenolic compounds… Show more

“…Capsicum peppers is a vegetable of great economic importance in the world with a wide genetic diversity in Spain and their nutritional qualities are widely recognized, including high content in phenolics that are natural antioxidants (Belkhodja, 2017). In addition, the demand of organic and healthy food is increasing in many countries of EU (FAO, 2015), which offers a great opportunity to increase the acreage of this lowinput and sustainable agriculture and diversify the offer from growers since the most efficient use and exploitation of resources have become an essential requirement.…”

“…Consuming large amounts of MSG can overload MSG receptors in the body, overshooting neurons and artificially increasing the level of free MSG in the body. 1,[32][33][34] This may be particularly harmful to children. The long-term use of MSG affects the body's ability to regulate MSG, allowing it to increase concentration and penetrate the brain into areas where it would normally not have what it was looking for.…”

“…So, complexes with n=2 have linear or angular structure, those with n=4 may have tetrahedral structure, plan prosthetic or tetragonal plane; those with n=6 have octoedric structure or triangular prism, etc. Depending on the number of connections that a ligand with the central ion generator can form complex, ligands are classified into monodentate, bidentate and polydident ligands [28].…”
