Chemical Characterization of the Interface Between Metal and Polyphosphate Glasses as Coating

Abstract: In industrial application, the polyphosphate coacervates present some interest for coating metallic pieces. To explain the good mechanical properties of this coating with some metal's substrate, we have studied the interface. To obtain a good coating we have to form layer rich in phosphide near the metal bulk. This layer stops the metal diffusion in the glass coating.
