“…It varies with the season, climate, collection time, and biotic or abiotic stresses, which interfere with the levels of the components derived from the secondary metabolism of plants. Analyses of composition of oils extracted from noni fruits collected from the same region of Brazil (VELOSO et al, 2020) and others collected in Malaysia (PIARU et al, 2011) showed content variations of up to 20%, but maintaining fatty acids as major compounds.…”

“…The pesticides in use present a series of harmful effects, which include ecological risks, toxicity, insect resistance (ROSIC et al, 2020) and food contamination (GERAGE et al, 2017). Given this, the use of natural compounds with multiple functions emerges as a promising strategy (VELOSO et al, 2020). Among the species with potential use in alternative controls, Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) stands out due to its fungistatic and insecticidal properties (NOSÉ et al, 2021).…”

“…The wound healing properties of the soluble extracts of the MC plant were predicted using PASS online. In PASS, the prediction is based on an analysis of the structural activity relationships of the compounds that are biologically active [26,27]. The biological activity of the plant compounds was estimated using in terms of probable activity (Pa) and probable inactivity (Pi).…”

“…Noni extract has anthelmintic activity against Pheretima posthuma (Giri et al, 2010) (Peixoto et al, 2011;Katata-Seru et al, 2018), antiviral (Ratnoglik et al, 2014;Wang et al, 2016) and antifungal (Goss et al, 2017) activity. Essential oils extracted from noni fruit can inhibit the pathogenic fungi Exserohilum turcicum, a pathogen that causes Northern Corn Leaf Blight (NCLB), and Bipolaris maydis, a pathogen that causes Southern Corn Leaf Blight (SCLB) (Silva et al, 2017;Veloso et al, 2020). Jayaraman et al (2008) reported that methanol extract from noni fruit showed antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Penicillium sp., Fusarium sp., Mucor sp., Rhizopus sp., Aspergillus fumigatus, and Aspergillus flavus.…”
