“…4 In another study, three flavonoids were separated from the methanolic extract of seeds of Z. absinthifolia. 3 Furthermore, GC and GC/MS analysis of the n-hexan extract from the seeds of this herb resulted n-octylacetate, octylpropanoate, decane, angelicin, umbelliferone as the major chemical compounds. Since Apiaceae (Umbelliferae) was selected as the source of essential oil containing herbs, so the volatile oil of the genus Zosimia would be a good candidate to investigate both in terms of the composition and biological activities.…”
