Chemical MHD Hiemenz Flow over a Nonlinear Stretching Sheet and Brownian Motion Effects of Nanoparticles through a Porous Medium with Radiation Effect

Abstract: In this paper, the numerical solutions for magneto-hydrodynamic Hiemenz fluid over a nonlinear stretching sheet and the Brownian motion effects of nanoparticles through a porous medium with chemical reaction and radiation are studied. The repercussions of thermophoresis and mass transfer at the stagnation point flow are discussed. The plate progresses in the contrary direction or in the free stream orientation. The underlying PDEs are reshaped into a set of ordinary differential equations employing precise tra… Show more

“…Recently, there has been an increasing number of studies focusing on the Homann and Hiemenz flow problems, as discussed in Refs. [5] and [6]. Sumio Iijima [7] revolutionized the concept of carbon nanotubes through an experiment in which he took two graphite rods as electrodes and applied current across them, resulting in a spark arch between them and clouds of carbon gas and vaporizing the tip of the anode rod.…”

IntroductionCurrent advancements in nanotechnology have made it much easier to create nanoparticles or nanostructures with higher thermophysical properties than their bulk counterparts utilizing nuclear or molecular processes. Salah et al (2023) developed Nano fluids by dispersing nanoparticles in a base fluid such as water, oil, or ethylene glycol, to name a few. The study of Nano fluids has witnesses a rise in research activities over the years.
