Chemical reactivity promoted by optical excitation transfer in mixed clusters

Abstract

Prelimary experiments on mixed clusters of benzene and benzyl bromidesuggest that the fragmentation ofC6HsCHzBr § to give the ion C7H~", is promoted by excitation transfer from a benzene molecule in an excited electronic state.
