Chemical Type Variation of Groundwater in Borobudur and Surroundings Area, Magelang District

Abstract: Hydrogeological surveys have been carried out in the Borobudur area and its surroundings, the northern part of the West Progo Hills to the Magelang intermountain plains. The purpose of this study is to determine the variations in groundwater’s chemical types in the study area and to interpret the hydrochemical processes. Primary data was taken in the field, including groundwater data and rock petrology. Physical / chemical data of groundwater were obtained from laboratory test results. Data analysis includes h… Show more

“…This study aims to determine the quality of groundwater in the plunge landfill area and its hydrogeochemistry. Good groundwater quality will have a certain type of groundwater chemistry, with a certain main element content, in accordance with the limits recommended by the government [15]. The methods proposed in this study are Trilinear Piper Diagram Analysis (1944) [16], Stiff Quadrangle Diagram Analysis (1951) [17] and Durov Diagram Analysis (1948) [18].…”

“…In other locations of the Kulon Progo Hills and its surroundings, groundwater quality has also been tested to determine the pollution (Listyani & Peni, 2020b, 2020a. Putranto & Aryanto (2018) mapped the groundwater level in Purworejo, whereas Soewaeli et al (2012) studied the groundwater quality in the southern part of Purworejo Regency.…”
