Abstract

1992organo-silicon compounds, nonmetal heterocycles organo-silicon compounds, nonmetal heterocycles S 0067 05 -208 2,3-Disilaoxetanes from Tetramesityldisilene: Synthesis and Photolysis.-Title compounds of type (III) are obtained from the disilene (I) and various carbonyl compounds, e.g. (IIa)-(IId) and even methyl furoate ( IIe). Other esters do not react with (I). Photolysis products of (IIIa) and (IIIb) obtained in the presence or absence of ethanol as a trapping agent arise from photolytic retro-(2 + 2) cleavage of the oxetane ring. -(FANTA, A.
