ChemInform Abstract: 3,5‐Diphenyl‐1H‐pyrazole Derivatives. Part. 1. Esters and N‐Substituted Carbamates of 1‐(2‐Hydroxyethyl)‐3,5‐diphenyl‐1H‐pyrazole and Its 4‐Bromo Derivative with Depressant, Antiarrhythmic, Analgesic, and Other Activities.

Abstract: Chalcone (I) is transformed into the epoxide (II) which undergoes cyclocondensation with hydrazinoethanol (III), yielding the pyrazoline (IV).

“…One of the important heterocyclic structure, pyrazoles have attracted the attention of organic chemists in recent years due to their wide biological activity properties. Compounds containing pyrazole nucleus are known to have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antiarrhythmic, muscle relaxant, psychoanaleptic, anticonvulsant, hypotensive, antidiabetic and antibacterial activities (10)(11)(12)(13)(14)(15)(16). The yield, which is one of the problems experienced in the field of synthetic organic chemistry, has an important place in modern drugs discovery.…”

“…8 In the same sense, compounds including a pyrazole nucleus are known to possess analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antiarrhythmic, tranquilizing, muscle relaxant, psychoanaleptic, anticonvulsant, hypotensive, monoamine oxidase inhibitor, antidiabetic, and antibacterial activities. [9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16] Also, some thiazole derivatives have been reported to possess tuberculostatic, antibacterial, and antifungal activities. 17 Moreover various sulfur compounds have been found to have other biological properties.…”
