Abstract:Pyridine derivatives R 0380A Facile Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons Route to 2-Quinolones. -A convenient method for the synthesis of the target compounds involves N-acylation of o-aminophenylketones with phosphonoalkanoyl chlorides followed by intramolecular Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons olefination.
