Abstract:A Highly Efficient Route to Dehydroalanine Containing Peptides.-A general method for the synthesis of dehydroalanine-containing peptides is reported. The structural element is introduced as S-methyl cystein and subsequently liberated by oxidation and elimination. The procedure is compatible with usual protecting groups Boc and Fmoc. -(BURRAGE, S.
