Abstract

A Tandem Radical Approach to the ABCE-Rings of the Aspidosperma and Strychnos Alkaloids.-Reaction of indole (VI) via the derived aryl radical gives the tetracycle (VII). This compound contains the ABCE-rings of both aspidosperma and strychnos alkaloids.
